Marios Tsipopoulos is a Greek director and cinematographer, and a graduate of the Northern Film School in the UK, where he studied Filmmaking. His graduation short film North Pier won First Prize at the Argo Film Festival, while his work as camera operator on the short film We Are Dancers contributed to a production that reached the shortlist for the Academy Awards. After returning to Greece, he quickly established himself as a distinctive visual storyteller, directing and shooting a wide range of music videos that have amassed over 100 million views in total. His credits include the official music videos for the Greek Eurovision entry for three consecutive years, followed by the official Cypriot entry the next year. As a cinematographer, his selected work includes the docu-drama series Underwonder, directed by Kostas Karydas and produced by COSMOTE TV, the feature documentary No Cap, directed by internationally acclaimed filmmaker Dennis Iliadis and released by Village Cinemas, as well as Friends Forever by Konstantinos Mousoulis, on which he served as Director of Photography alongside Steven Priovolos. As a director, he has created music videos for some of the most influential artists in the Greek rap scene, collaborating with acclaimed actors. His directing work also includes a short film for Lake Vouliagmeni, a mini-documentary series for Eurobank produced by Silent hill productions, and commercial campaigns for brands such as the National Bank of Greece, Frezyderm, and the UK-based Zoek. Expanding his work into narrative filmmaking, he also received development funding from the Greek Film Centre for the screenplay of his feature film project Mouchroma. His work is defined by a strong cinematic language, combining bold visual identity with emotionally driven storytelling across film, music, documentary, and commercial formats.
